How to give Mittun access to your website to debug your ClassyPress issues

Sometimes things don’t go as planned when you’re trying to configure the plugin to your liking. Other times, the website simply won’t connect to Classy’s API, or an unexpected error occurs when trying to “import” demo settings. Even rarer, is a plugin conflict, which occurs when another plugin has conflicting scripts/classes/database fields as ClassyPress. No matter the issue, don’t worry— Mittun has your back.

If you have an active subscription (purchased ClassyPress within 1 calendar year) then you’re in luck. Mittun’s pro services team will happily debug the issue for you and implement a fix, all as part of your subscription.

Here are the steps.

1.) Simply add “support@mittun.com” as an Admin to the WP website (staging site is fine, or wherever the “issue” is happening)

2.) Give us permission to install one, lightweight plugin to clone/copy the site to our servers (it’s called Pantheon migration, here)

3.) We simply let the plugin do it’s thing, so we have a “snapshot” or “clone” of the website onto our Pantheon servers (Pantheon is another hosting & dev ops platform, similar to WP Engine)

4.) Once the cloning process is complete, your team can remove/delete the migration plugin and remove “support@mittun.com” as an administrator from your website (Mittun will now do all testing/dev work on our Dev server)

5.) Our developers will quickly determine if this is a plugin issue, plugin conflict issue (another plugin), a caching issue, a server issue, or something similar

6.) We will then notify your team how to fix, or, we can implement the fix for you. We can hand over code snippets, instructions or update the website directly.

7.) We will then delete our dev/cloned site entirely, unless you want us to keep it active for reference.
